About Me
My name is Emils Vizulis and I come from Latvia, a small country that many have never even heard of. Growing up music has always been my biggest passion. From the age of 8 I started classical training in playing the piano, after which I attended and graduated one of the most prestigious secondary music schools in Latvia, where I studied the art behind jazz performance and improvisation. I love to mess around with other instruments as well - the electric bass, drums, ukulele, guitar and someday I wish to master singing. But even with all the time and care I've invested in learning about music - chords, theory, harmony, performance - it isn't the only thing that my heart burns for.

A few years ago I started doing live sound for my church's Sunday services. That decision was very strongly influenced by my big interest in technology like mobile phones, tablets, computers, audio devices. It was in church where I developed the basic skills in live sound, critical listening and the operation of audio equipment. I even had the chance to record a 2 hour long worship session and experiment with post-mixing for the first time. But I knew that I needed much more in-depth practice and training if I ever hoped to reach a professional level in the music industry and make a career in the world of audio.
That is what brought me to the next step in my creative career and led me to the decision to study audio production abroad at SAE Institute London. My goal is to become a fully self-sufficient artist with my own professional recording studio. I wish to obtain the skills and knowledge to write, produce, record, mix and master my own music, as well as the works of my talented musical friends, peers and colleagues. I strive to become the best audio engineer and music producer in my country, and with that - to set the bar of music production at a new, all-time high. Even though I have a long and challenging road ahead of me, I just can't wait to see how my hard work pays off!
